We are 100% committed to the security and privacy of yours and your customers data and we have highlighted the data we collect, how and why we collect it and how it is stored in the sections below.
What data we collect about you
We only collect information that is required for us to provide our software. The information collected will only be used for the purpose of tailoring the e-Restaurant software for your specific needs. All data will be retained and destroyed in accordance with our Data Retention Policy.
When you install our e-Restaurant software, certain information is requested and stored in order for us to help configure the software for your specific restaurant.
The information we collect is as follows
- Restaurant name, e-mail address & phone number
- Subscription dates/renewal dates
- Restaurant specific information such as rooms/areas, booking times, number & size of tables
How this data is collected
This data is requested when you first install e-Restaurant during the setup wizard and stored in our database along with your restaurant configuration data such as number and size of tables, available booking times and rooms
How we use this data
This data is used to help configure your database to closely match the way you run your restaurant. The software will also automatically configure a reservation confirmation template for your restaurant in which the restaurant name, phone number and email address will be used.
How we store and access your data
Your data is stored in our MySQL database which is hosted by Amazon in their data centre in Ireland. The database password protected and has an IP address restriction. Only requests coming from our IP address are able to access our customer data.
All data is accessed using SSL over an HTTPS connection. We make every effort to ensure that we are using the latest SSL methods and technologies to ensure that we are not exposed to any known security vulnerabilities.
Our office computers are all password protected to prevent unauthorised access.
Below you can view a network topography diagram which has been created to show how data flows from your restaurant PC’s or the web booking module and the specific transmission protocols which we adopt to ensure your data is kept safe and secure.

Data Retention Policy
How long do we keep your data?
We will keep your data for a period of 18 months for any users who do not have an active subscription with us. When a period of inactivity occurs for 18 months we will delete your data and any associated reservation data which you may have entered into the system.
Data for customers with an active subscription with us is held indefinitely. This data will be erased 18 months following the cancellation of the subscription.
Right to be forgotten
At any time, you can get in touch with us and request your personal data to be deleted. We will endeavour to do this as quickly as we can. We may need to be provided with alternative contact details for any subscriptions which are still active. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you wish to be removed from our database.
